Natsukoi is from the POV of a girl who gets together with a guy because of his appearances, she wasn't serious about the relationship and only expected it to last for one summer, a sort of a "filler", but ends up falling for him. Mao's lyrics make heavy use of imagery and he has the tendency to put things in a round-about way, especially for this song, so I don't think I managed to convey or even fully understand all the nuances, but I'll try to explain the more prominent ones.

Between two cellphones, probably the couple exchanging contact info etc.

♪The ill-naturedness of a love based on appearances　　Is second only to summer colds
"appearances" here refer to the guy, and also the narrator's impression of a summertime romance. Basically, her friend is criticising her for getting into a relationship simply because of the guy's looks, and because she wants to experience a stereotypical "summer love". In short, she's not really in love with him, anyone will do as long as she has someone to date for the summer.

Refers to a CD. "It's summer! We embolden lovers♥" is probably the advertising catch-phrase printed on the obi, which you can only deduce because he used the word jake-kai, which means buying a cd despite knowing absolutely nothing about the artist / songs, simply because you're attracted by the cover. Again, we can see that she's in love with an idea rather than a person.

The former is a negative metaphor used by the narrator's friend to criticise her actions. At the end, the narrator uses it again because the situation has "worsened", in that she has honestly fallen for him; and also because she's only gotten serious about the relationship now, which makes her a "bad" person worse than summer colds. And none of this is coherent but you get the idea 8D
